Primary Math Program

Our primary mathematics curriculum is compiled by an experienced mathematics team based on front-line teaching experience and the latest mathematics curriculum guidelines and outlines issued by the Hong Kong Education Bureau in 2017. Our question bank is available in both Chinese and English, covering the primary mathematics topics designated by the Education Bureau to correspond the curriculum of schools.

Matheory Primary Math Program provides a personalized curriculum which supports and challenges every child who are from Primary 1 to 6, nurturing natural curiosity and encouraging academic excellence. The custom curriculum allows teachers to use personalized teaching methods that will best help their students succeed. Apart from mastering the understanding and skills in mathematics, we build up students’ confidence in learning mathematics and hence a greater interest in the subject. In Matheory, students receive continual, ongoing feedback from our teachers to enhance the student learning process. Teachers also work with parents to maximize feedback. We make sure that parents are always involved and informed about their child’s learning with us. Teachers provide consultation and communicate with parents regarding their children’s learning progress on a regular basis. After each session, teachers will give an on-the-spot comments of the child’s progress. We will keep you up to date on your child’s strengths, weaknesses, and tell you how we can help your child further improve. There are two versions in our primary math program. Chinese version curriculum is suitable for the students who are from Chinese-medium primary schools. And English version curriculum is a better choice for students who are from International schools or English-medium primary schools.

Diagnostic Assessment

A student’s first step into the Matheory Primary Math Program is the diagnostic assessment. The diagnostic test will provide insight into the student’s ability and learning needs. We design a student’s learning plan based on their personal strengths and weaknesses. Assessment can reflect children’s performance on learning and development, and provide children with positive feedback, helping them to identify the areas for improvement.
